“The Odyssey” is the second of the two epic poems attributed to the ancient Greek poet Homer, the first being “The Iliad”. The film Odyssey shows the journey of King Odysseus, king of Ethaca in the sea in 20 years as his punishment and his exploits for the obstacles he faces before coming back to his Kingdom. Poseidon, god of the sea is the one who’s responsible in punishing King Odysseus for defying gods like him. King Odysseus journey shows many attitudes needed to acquire by the audience especially on how being an effective leader. Intelligence, King Odysseus was a clever person. He is a figure of a leader who uses his intelligence to serve his Kingdom. He ensures that all his actions was always in good plan. Patience also shows by his wife Penelope, his son Telemachus and his kingdom for the coming back of their king Odysseus even though many years past. King Odysseus didn’t give up to find the way to came back on his Kingdom. Love, King Odysseus and Penelope has the figure of true love. Even though King Odysseus was with other women, he didn’t forget his wife Penelope and also even there are so many man trying to court with Queen Penelope, she didn’t gave up to wait for the coming back of his husband King Odysseus. Lastly was being Faithful of King Odysseus kingdom, his wife and his son to him. It shows that he is a good leader to his Kingdom. I believe that if you will be a good leader, your followers was being faithful on you. But if you are not a good leader, they didn’t waits for you and they forget about you.
