History: Kaylah king age 9, African American female was a transfer case from Inter-county of Bergen County. At the time of Kaylah’s referral to FACT she was placed in her paternal grandmother's homes in Hillside. Prior to youth residing with her paternal family in Hillside. She was placed in multiple DCP&P foster placements. It was also reported in previous reports that Kaylah has experienced sexual abuse by her older brother and bio-mom nephew. Due to past sexual abuse Kaylah presents as fearful and anxious. While Kaylah was in foster placements she exhibits encopresis and enuresis. She also exhibits some emotional attachment to food. Throughout Kaylah foster placements she continues to have supervise visits with her bio-parents. Kaylah resides with her paternal grandmother Fayette King, Tasha King (aunt), brother and cousin. Family: Kaylah has been doing well in her grandmother home. Mrs. King and Kaylah have a loving and close relationship. Kaylah has built a sense of security in her grandmother home. She feels stable and Mrs. King is able to manage her behaviors through loving and nurturing approaches. Kaylah also responds well to her Mrs. King redirections. Mrs. King is very concern about Kaylah’s and her brother’s safety once they are reunified back with their biological mother. Mrs. King spends majority of her time caring and providing for her grand kids. She also teaches them the importance of family bonding through weekend’s family outing which Kaylah enjoys. Kaylah has mention numerous times to providers (i.e. DCP&P, CMO, IIC etc) how she does not want to live with her mother. Kaylah has plans on staying with Mrs. King despite DCP&P plan for reunification. Mrs. King continue to advocate for what in the best interest of her grandkids.
