A job analysis is a process of obtaining information to determine the tasks that workers must perform. It also determines the tools and equipment they need to perform assignments and the conditions in which they are required to work. Specialists in the field usually complete the job analysis (Stewart & Brown, 2014). The Youtube episode chosen for this paper is the Foreman Mills Clothing Store episode. The two positions are the sales associate position and the customer service representative position. Both of these positions are important to the company because they work directly with the customers that frequent the stores. The sales associates at Foreman Mills have many responsibilities some include preparing merchandise for the sales floor, keep work area clean, prioritize and accomplish a wide range of tasks each shift and assist customers in selecting items based on their need. As for tools, a sales associate use cash registers and machines to place price tags on merchandise. They work in a department or section of the store helping customers decide on merchandise and also answering questions. Based on their organizational needs and what is the most cost-effective for them to use. For this particular company, the best method for collecting the information for the job analysis is the one-on-one interview technique. The job positions are the same across the organization. The sales associate and the customer service representative is the same in each store. With the job analysis interview; the interviewer can learn unique aspects of each job position. The evaluator when using this method can learn about parts of the job that is not listed. The interviewer asks the same questions of each employee they do not
