Anthony “Tony” Stark was the son of Howard and Maria Stark, born in Long Island, New York. As a young child he loved working with machines, and he entered the electrical engineering program at MIT when he was only fifteen. At nineteen, he graduated with two master’s degrees, and inherited Stark Industries at 21 when his parents were killed in a car crash. Always an expert in the fields of physics and engineering, he skillfully guided the weapons company with incredible success, creating many new technologies for the military. In the comic ‘Iron Man Is Born,” during a visit to one of the fields where some of his newer hardware is being tested, Stark is caught in an explosive trip-wire booby trap set by guerrilla chief Wong-Chu. A piece of deadly Stark, wary that the promise is most likely a trap and that he will be killed no matter what he manages to build, instead creates an iron suit that will be able to keep the shard from further penetrating his heart and killing him. He uses the abilities of the suit to escape from Wong-Chu’s camp, rescuing many others and getting Wong-Chu’s troops to desert him along the way. Over the fifty-two years since the character was launched in March of 1963, Iron Man has made many friends and faced countless enemies. In “Iron Man and the Icy Fingers of Jack Frost,” Tony Stark is auto-racing when his life-giving chest plate begins to run low on power, and his car spins out of his control. He is rescued by Harry ‘Happy’ Hogan, who Stark hires on as his chauffeur as repayment for saving his life. The reader is also briefly introduced to ‘Pepper’ Potts, Stark’s secretary, for the first time in the same issue of the

Rolihlahla Mandela also known as Nelson Mandela is an illustrious politician and a really good role model to everyone. He stood up to racism without using racism or violence. An English proverb states, “ A hero is a man who is afraid to run away”. I agree with this proverb, because when you see a hero in a comic book, they have super cool back stories, are not afraid to fight, and stare danger in the face and not blink. They are not afraid of anything. That’s nice to look up to, but they are not real. Our definition of a hero is too much for one man to become, you can do something honorable, heroic, but you will never actually be a hero because it's too much, in real life. Heroes don’t just do it so they can get paid, or respect. What really determines whether someone is a hero is if they choose to do something about it in a bad situation. We have people that do heroic acts, for example, people putting their lives before others. Those people cannot be heroes because they get paid to do it, they are, firefighters, cops, and military, they get paid to help people, so they aren't considered a hero.
Tony Stark and Hamlet also have the ability to self-destruct. During the third Iron Man Tony Stark instructs J.A.R.V.I.S. to take him to a rural area because he will not have the power to make it home. This then lands him with a ten-year-old boy and a power suit with no power. This shows his self-destructive behavior because he into issues with the Mandarin people leading to not having enough power to make it back. He also had to rely on the young boy to make it back to California and to his girlfriend (Black).
Chandler Smith Coach McDaniel US History 5 May 2014 Technology and Industrial Growth: Second Industrial Revolution With the conclusion of the Civil War, the United States turned their focus on rebuilding railroad and telegraph networks in the South, completing those of the North, and expanding those of the West. Once the depression of the 1870s had completely diminished, the stage was set for the Second Industrial Revolution. Also known as the Technological Revolution, this was a phase of the larger Industrial Revolution that lasted from around the middle of the 1800s into the early 20th century. Most tend to believe it began around the time of the introduction of Bessemer steel in the 1860s and concluded around the arrival of the production line, mass production, and factory electrification. The Second Industrial Revolution was characterized by a few different things, including: the large scale iron and steel production, construction of railroads, increase in use of manufacturing machinery, improved use of steam power, and by electrical communications.

The media text I have chosen is the movie Avengers Age of Ultron. Avengers Age of Ultron is about Captain America, Black Widow, Iron man, Scarlet Witch, Quick Silver, Hawk eye, Thor, Vision and the Hulk teaming up together to defeat this robotic villain named Ultron. This all started because Tony Stark who is Iron man experimented on Loki’s scepter. Tony created an artificial life from it which was Ultron. Ultron turned evil because he thought that the only way for peace was for all of humanity to die. He made it his mission to kill every single human on earth with Pietro who is Quick Silver and Wanda who is Scarlet Witch help. When Wanda and Pietro found out that Ultron planned on killing the entire human race they joined up with Avengers.
Secondly, Tony Stark focuses more on responsibility of the individual and family while Qiu pays more attention to his responsibility of the nation. As a hero movie, Iron Man emphasizes on hero’s realization of personal values. Tony Stark focuses a lot on achieving his personal value, which is to help the world out as Iron man and maintain the social justice and social order. The moment he achieves his personal value is also the time his dream came to fruition. By the time when he possesses his superpower from his powered armor, he realizes that he should take more responsibility to help and save the people in need single-handedly. More importantly, he realizes that in order to achieve one’s dream, one should first start with himself. “If you want to change the world, start with yourself.” Via the movie, Iron Man, Tony Stark teaches his audience that no matter rich or not, smart or not, super powerful or not, in order to be
What is Iron? How can we use this element? There are so many needs for this element. Iron has been around since ancient times. No known person is said to have discovered it. Anthony (Tony) Stark was original a fiction character from a comic that was created by Stan Lee in 1963 but since then has many movies and books made about him. Tony is sassy, brilliant, forgetful, rich, rude, player that eventually becomes a philanthropist. Even from the young age of 6, Tony quickly stole the spotlight with his bright, amazing, and unique mind. At the age of 21, his parents were killed in a car accident in 1991. In that same year, Tony became the new CEO of a weapon company called Stark Industries, a company that his father had started and he ushered in a new era for his father's legacy. He changed the face of the weapons industry by making satellite targeting, smarter weapons, and also more advanced robots. His weapons weren't always used for the greater good; for example, during one of his trips to the Middle East to show off his latest weapon, the Jericho, to the American army, he was abducted by the terrorist group, Ten Rings. During capture, he was hit with one of his own weapons causing many shards of shrapnel to enter his body slowing getting closer and closer to his heart. Yinsen, a captured doctor, took care of Tony but in return, the Ten Rings tried to make Tony build the Jericho. But instead of making it, he made a battle suit that he then used the suit to escape from the terrorists' base; sadly, Yinsen was killed during the outbreak. In raged with the death of his friend, Tony burns down all of the Ten Rings weapons and attempts to fly away, but he ends up failing and crash landing in the desert where he was then rescued by the military.
“I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die” (biography). These words spoken by Nelson Mandela created an accurate depiction of who he was. The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 fought long and hard for equality in South Africa; he refused to give up after being imprisoned for 27 years. He created lots of positive change and he helped make South Africa a better place (Nelson Mandela). His actions and persistence have inspired many, and he proved that anything is possible with hard work, and that hard work will always pay off.
