In addition to the menstrual cycle, there are a few diseases that affect the cycle in human females. One of the various diseases is menorrhagia, which is the excessive blood flow in the system. Hormone inequality and pregnancy complexity can cause menorrhagic disease. Hormone inequality is the expansion of the endometrium caused by the heaviness of bleeding (Mayo Clinic 2014).
Introduction: The purpose of this lab is to have a better understanding of the internal and external anatomy. The reasons for performing this lab is that pigs are similar to humans because they have skin, omnivores and as fetus they receive nutrients from an umbilical cord connected to the mother. As well as the similarities to human organ systems. The hypothesis of this lab is if the fetal pig has a similar organ system of a human and assuming those organs will be in the same locations as in a human then the organ systems should operate in the same fashion. Based on what I’ve learned from this lab and what I’ve learned during lecture I predict that the fetal pigs nervous and circulatory system would operate and look the same way as in a human.
The first days and weeks after conception are critical for fetus body formation. The most extensive transformation of life occurs before birth. The fetal period goes through major changes. During the third month male or female sexual organs begin to develop and is visible through ultrasound. During months 4-6, the baby’s heartbeat becomes stronger. The digestive and excretory systems begin to develop. Body parts such as the fingernails, toenails, and buds of teeth begin to form and hair grows. Brain development occurs in every prenatal month, but the first three months are crucial. The central nervous system becomes responsive during middle of the women 's pregnancy, and begins to regulate body functions such as breathing and sucking.

Many digestive organs need to use about 30% of cardiac output. Both the digestive and circulatory systems get rid of unwanted or unneeded materials (waste) and feces (poop). It consists of the hair, nails, skin, sebaceous and sweat glands. The largest organ of the entire body is the skin. The skin consists of three different layers. The epidermis, the dermis, and the subcutaneous layer, these are the three layers of the skin. There is a layer that is deeper than the skin and contains body fat, that layer is called the hypodermis. Sweat glands are also called sudoriferous glands. One of the functions of the skin is to maintain homeostasis. Synthesis of vitamin D, excretion of urea, excretion of salts and water are a few things that the skin is also capable of. The top layer of the skin is called the epidermis. The epidermis contains five different layers. These layers are the stratum corneum, the stratum lucidum, the stratum spinosum, and the stratum basale. In the epidermis there are four different cell types. The keratinocytes which produce keratin, the merkel cells that are sensitive to touch, the langerhans cells which is a dendritic type off cell, and the melanocytes which produce melanin.
