Ow! My brain can not take it! The brain is very vital for everyone all around the world. Most are able to do day to day things because of it, but some people’s brains seem to fight them. Some people have mental disabilities, which affect their emotions such as: Bipolar disorder; mental disabilities brought by age or or injury; furthermore, another way our brain may fight people is by giving migraines, causing extreme, and in more rare cases disabling pain.
People all around the world can be affected by migraines. Astonishingly, twelve percent of people suffer. Out of all the illnesses in the world, migraines are the third most prevalent, and they come with a punch. At birth, one can be diagnosed with autism, and in teen or adult years one can be diagnosed with Schizophrenia. There are many, many brain disorders that people suffer from such as having a traumatic brain injury. Having a traumatic brain injury can have different effect on people, it depends on how it happened, where it occurred at, and the severity. After getting a brain injury the person needs to seek immediate help to control the bleeding, swelling, and or tearing, as well as if the brain is getting enough blood flow and if their is any pieces of the cranium that are poking the brain. Furthermore, Many things can go wrong when dealing with the brain, a person can either go in to the doctors and have a concussion or go into a coma or even death, (Disorders). Some of the symptoms to brain injuries are “loss of consciousness, dizziness, drowsiness, vomiting, headache, nausea, confusion or other cognitive problems. Having a brain injury of any kind can have long term effects like having short-term memory, trouble concentrating, personality change, depression, irritability, emotional and behavior problems may occur along with possible seizures. There are two different types of brain injuries, direct and indirect. Indirect is when their is stretching and tearing of blood vessel, the brain hitting the inside of the cranium can cause contusions, this can happen in babies from being shaken, shaken baby syndrome is very serious.
