Illegal ImmigrantsHow are Illegal immigrants affecting our country everyday? Illegal immigrants arecausing major problems for The United States and our economy. An illegal immigrant is aperson who violates the immigration laws of a country. The violation of the immigration lawscreates many problems in America. Some problems due to the extensive amount of illegalimmigration are jobs being taken from hard working Americans, causing overcrowding in ourjails and prisons, the safety of our citizens, and the use of government funded programs that weredesigned to help our citizens. The American job force is a very competitive field and with illegal immigrants here inAmerica, jobs are becoming even harder to come by. This is hurting our economy inmany ways. Most of their jobs are paid for under the table which means they are not payingtaxes. They also send a lot of the money back to their families in the their countries. This moneycould be put back into our economy to help it grow.Some Americans not in agreeance with Illegal Immigrants not having to contribute to thecost by paying taxes, but still reaping the same benefits that the taxpayers do. A good percentageof these immigrants are on our government's benefit systems that are paid for with U.S. taxdollars. Another example of this is the education system. Illegal immigrants are a beneficiary of Mims 2free education that the government provides for all citizens. Free for the Illegal Immigrants butnot free for the American citizen. This is costing the U.S. taxpayers several thousands of dollarsevery year. Money that could potentially be used for the American students education-- bettertechnology, more staff to lessen the classroom size, etc. This is also affecting America's health care system. Some illegal immigrants are not ableto pay for the services they receive
