Volunteer work helps provide opportunities that builds characters and valuable skills used throughout my life. it benefits the recipients and provides experience, skill development, and resume experience for the person who is volunteering.Volunteering doesn't only show all the benefits of working. It can be very beneficial as much can be gained from the opportunity. Volunteering has drastically changed my life through an ongoing impact that has proven to be quite important; I am going to continue it throughout the years.I can honestly say it gives the satisfaction of playing a role in someone else’s life by helping them, because they're not able to help themselves. There is this old saying that goes like “charity begins at home”. Having my family and friends by my side is more than enough that I ask for. The end of 8th grade and beginning of freshman year was the start of this family affair. I can honestly say thank you to my mom for not giving me a choice in volunteering. Back in April of 2015 for this prom dress giveaway ; a young lady had found her dream prom dress that she wanted. So out of excitement she wanted to show her foster mother, she went on to show her mother and the response that was given to her was seriously breathtaking and heartbreaking the same time. She told the young lady “ I'm glad that you found the one the dress that you do like , now take it off” because it's going to my actual daughter now let's go i'm ready to leave. Just hearing that gave me a better reason and understanding to want to give and do for the underprivileged.
