Sadly, life isn't always about "taking it easy." Life is difficult. Life is busy. And, whether we want to or not, everyone has to make a living. Teenagers get part-time jobs in retail, in food stores, and as nannies. Adults have full-time jobs that depend on their college degree. Doctors, nurses, and teachers are very popular occupations for adults. It all seems very normal, doesn't it? However, there are some weird occupations that you won't even believe exist. Here are the top nine weirdest occupations around the world. Yes, people actually get paid for these!Professional Line-Stander is one of the weirdest occupations in The United States. A line-stander, or line-sitter, gets paid to help individuals that do not have time, or patience, to wait in line. A professional line-stander …show more content…
I did some research, and some professional line-standers get paid one-thousand dollars a week.Weddings have become extremely popular on social media websites (especially Pinterest). Brides must document their whole wedding process so everyone can see it. But, what happens when you don't have a bridesmaid? After all, bridesmaids do have duties: providing support for the bride, helping with the bridal shower and bachelorette party, standing with her on the altar, etc. Well, here's where the weirdest occupation comes in. Women are hired as professional bridesmaids. They get paid to help a bride, from anywhere in the world, organize her wedding. On the website, Bridesmaid for Hire, professional bridesmaids get paid two-hundred to two-thousand dollars, for a wedding. And, they don't even know the bride personally. This is definitely one of the weirdest occupations. In the United Kingdom, hotels hire individuals to lie down in the hotel beds before guests arrive. Yes, they get paid to lay down in beds. Bed warmers warm the beds so when guests arrive after a long trip, they won't have to experience the unpleasant feeling of a cold
For those of you that don’t know, I am Trey Rongisch and I am currently a student at Midland University. It is quite ironic how Nick and I first met, it was during my first college class. I would have never expected him to ask me to be his Best Man at his wedding in the short span of four months, but when he asked me, I just couldn’t turn down the offer. But I’m going to be honest, I’ve been feeling quite nervous about giving this speech for some time. But I’m pleased to say last night I slept like a baby – I woke up every two hours, crying my eyes out. With this in mind, I am ready to get this speech going and I must share how honored I am to be here today and speak on behalf of Nick and his beautiful wife, Katie.
For those of you who don't know me.....I'm Misty.....Martha's friend of 17 years and her maid of honor. Martha, I just want you to know how honored I am to stand by your side on this special day. And can I just say how beautiful and happy you look right now? Gosh you would think it was your wedding day or something!
When a student gets out of college the game plan is supposed to be, get a job in the field that you went to school for and make money so you can start your life. That particular situation is rare considering not all students get a job fresh out of college. For the students that don’t, they have to go back home and settle for a regular job and start paying off their giant student loans and put their life on hold. Even with having the job they wanted the student loans come right around the corner. After college is when the student’s life is supposed to start and the part where you get a car payment, pay rent, utilities, but none of that is possible when you add the enormous amount of money that the student will be in debt by. With the amount the students have to pay fresh out of college, more students are sacrificing more time struggling to pay off the student loans then they spent in school. Student loans are set-up in a way to be flawed and not always completely necessary to the student.
Ladies and Gentlemen you'll be pleased to know I am only going to speak for a couple of minutes because of my throat..... if I go on too long Angie has threatened to cut it.
In Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the characters Hermia and Lysander are faces with a difficult situation when they want to be married and are forbidden to by Hermia’s father, who instead wishes her to be married to another young man, Demetrius. Hermia and Lysander forced to plead her case to both her father and the duke of Athens, Theseus. But Theseus’ only words to Hermia are those that tell her she should be obedient to her father. Her pleas are essentially ignored. While it is unfortunate that her thoughts should not be given a second thought,
Imagine that you had a job where you had to dress, look, and act a certain way but you didn 't like it and had no choice but to remain that way or your boss would get mad and fire you. It is obvious that one would not be happy being like this because it is not who one is but one is scared to go against it because one is afraid to face the consequences. This is about the same thing that transgender individual 's experience where they have not been allowed to become like the opposite sex because society does not allow it. Every individual is different and therefore not everyone will want to accept the sex that they were born with primarily because they feel that it is not the real them. These individuals cannot burst their bubble and demonstrate who they truly are because society is watching their every move and just waiting for the perfect opportunity to come out and punish them. This is supposed to be a free country and because it is the twenty-first century, people should to learn to live with change. I have learned that gender identity is the
In today’s society we as humans are aware and accepting of more identities than we ever have been before. Civil rights movements all over the world are advocating for everything from marriage equality, to laws protecting gender-queer people. However, it isn’t perfect. Just as there will always be racists and homophobes, there will always be people who say gender identity is a choice. Well, a study done earlier this year proves those people wrong.
Before I start I would like to say that Madonna you look absolutely stunning, Erik, well you just look stunned.

A professional bridesmaid is, usually, a woman who is hired to take some of the stress off of the true bridesmaid- or the bride herself. How does that seem? Being paid to witness romance. A bridesmaid doesn’t necessarily get paid to have fun, though the job isn’t all stress. According to Jen Glantz, the founder of “Bridesmaids for hire” and paid bridesmaids in general, sometimes the professional isn’t even in the wedding. In actuality, the fee for a professional bridesmaid increases when they are asked to participate in the wedding ceremony and they don’t mingle like most guest. They do a lot of behind the curtain planning- which is why they don’t have to actually be present during the wedding. The professional doesn’t get to drink, or talk

Hi, my name is Rob Geis and I am currently in grade 12. I have been at County High School for a year now; I joined at the start of 11th grade, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself here. The school is great, the people are fantastic and the atmosphere is one that makes you actually want to go to school. Before I joined ASB I was studying at the Singapore American School for two years and prior to that I was at the International School of Kuala Lumpur for two years. I was born and raised here in Bombay city and grew up here.
Many little girls dream of their big fairytale wedding with a prince charming of their own. We all have watched and grown up with the classic Disney movies that not only entertain children, but are influenced by what we see. I am guilty of wanting the fairytale wedding, big puffy gown, sparkles, handsome husband and our happily ever after. But what you don’t see is how much time and energy is put into creating your own fairytale wedding. After many months of planning and preparation for this day I was excited, nervous and anxious to carry on with the day that symbolized a new beginning with the love of my life. I was about to make a lifelong commitment to my one true love. Nothing I’ve done has taken so much preparation
Everyone has their own opinion on what makes someone a “good girl.” Some may claim that good girls are those who do not have casual sex, drink, or do drugs. By some definitions, good girls are just those who pretend to be good. In my family, we have our own definition. Good girls work hard, do well in school and life, and above all, are sources of support for their families and friends. In addition, good girls do not get involved in harmful things, are not outspoken and are never tactless. My family has a culture of good girls. For generations and generations we have produced good girls. Sure, I have female relatives who are considered the black sheep of our family, but we do not talk about them. We unconsciously focus on breeding and raising decent, soft-spoken, feminine women.
