Dynamics that Generated the Construction of the Beatles The construction of the Beatles formed through various key aspects that generated the Beatles success that we still see today. The atmosphere, in which these gentlemen were born into, shaped their outlook and behavior of the world. All members of the Beatles were born during World War II and matured during the reverberation of it all. Given that Liverpool is a major seaport city, it was one of the most attacked cities. It is for this reason, Liverpool received substantial damage that, unfortunately, encumbered the city for years to come. These air raids caused the destruction of “over 10,000 homes” and the loss of thousands of lives, “leaving much of the city centre in ruins” (Laing, 10). As a consequence, of the destruction of Liverpool, the country implemented rationing of certain items, ranging from; meat, butter, various imported goods, clothes, and other various items. These restrictions implemented their lives in various aspects. Above all, the rationing of clothing had an enormous effect on their style. Some members of the band were unable to fully commit to the band for “fear of conscription” (11). When the rescinding of the act was abolished, members felt a sense of relief. This overturning of the law allowed members to copiously commit to their passion, music. The realization that they had absolute control of their lives allowed the Beatles to fully commit and appreciate all aspects of the musical career for which they pursued. Given that all members understood, throughout the course of their lives, that they would have to give up their passion for music when they “became eligible for call-up”, only strengthened their appreciation for their musical careers that were almost lost before they could be achieved
