124 Words1 Page

This is a notable speech for the most obvious reasons. Martin Luther King used eloquent language to describe and acknowledge terrible events. This language influenced people to be a positive factor in the resolution of the very important issue of racism and oppression. Rather than describe atrocities, he used metaphors and euphemisms to acknowledge their existence and occurrence, but did not allow the events to overshadow the main point of the speech. The purpose of the speech was to encourage people to work together and find the pathway that needed to be created toward equity and unity. MLK was a Godly man who only desired the God given right to all men to live happy, productive and enriched lives be granted to all people.
