Nazi human experimentation was a series of medical experiments performed by nazis on jewish prisoners; women and children included. Multiple experiments were lead by josef mengele, a nazi doctor. The experiments usually ended very poorly, and often in death. At least 1,500 non-consenting sets of twins were experimented on. Around 200 of which did not survive. Other mengele experiments included experiments on children, who he would lure in with sweets. He would trick them into thinking he was a trustworthy person. In reality, though, he has been reported as sadistic, lacking empathy, and showed no remorse to human emotions. Prisoners were submerged into freezing water by doctors for up to five hours. This was done to attempt to find ways to cure frozen German soldiers. Prisoners would either be dressed in aviator suits, or they would be completely naked. Other Nazi doctors wanted to develop a vaccine to prevent tuberculosis. Killing at least 200 people, Dr. Kurt Heissmeyer injected the tuberculosis bacteria directly into the lungs of his patients. He wanted to see if the human body could develop a natural immunity to the disease. Infamous Nazi doctor Hans Eppinger tried to make seawater drinkable, but failed. Scientists forced about 90 Gypsies to drink only seawater, and deprived them of all food or fresh water.
