One female political figure that is very active in American Government today is Hillary Rodham Clinton. By far, Hillary Clinton is the most prevailing woman when it comes to American Government. She is unprecedented in paving ways for women to be more involved in the government. People often accredit her marriage to Bill Clinton for her involvement in the government, but even before and after her marriage, she was active in politics. Before making any conclusions, however, it is important to peer into her political track, and then analyze how she has influenced American Government.

During Hillary Clinton’s speech in the “U.N. 4TH World Conference on Women Plenary Session.” She states, “helping women is not just a nice thing to do,” According to Clinton, women’s rights are unfinished, and her belief in, “human rights are all women’s rights once and for all” has been stressed tremendously in her speech. Many might have wondered about Clinton’s powerful public speaking abilities. As a graduate from Yale Law School and a woman who is now serving under President Barack Obama, she is unquestionably smart enough to blend in the three rhetorical appeals to make her ideas sharper and more valid to further her purpose. The three rhetorical appeals Clinton uses are ethos, pathos, and logos.
She is a unique global leader whose activism has promoted social change around the world. Warren Bennis, author of On Becoming a Leader author says that, “…true leaders are not born, but made, and they are usually self-made (Bennis, p. 35, 2009).” Hillary is a prominent example of a self-made leader. She invented herself as a public figure through her dedication to human rights and equality. Over the last three decades she has gained the respect and admiration of people around the world. She has spent a career working towards improving people's lives.

She was able to deliver such an exceptional speech because of her knowledge and credibility on the topic. Clinton is a woman and frequently has to deal with her own right to be treated as equal to men. Politics is viewed as a man 's job, viewing women as though they cannot do as good of a job as men. Clinton has also traveled the women talking to many women about the struggles they encounter, “Over the past 25 years, I have worked persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families. Over the past two and a half years, I 've had the opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing women in my own country and around the world” (Clinton).
