It is remarkably noted that in Romeo and Juliet, the two young lovers die for their love for each other, but many people question who's at fault? Is it Friar Laurence, the two lovers themselves, their parents, fate or a number of people? I believe that the parents are at fault. I believe they are at fault because the Montagues had a feud with the Capulets.This feud led the two lover to secretly get married, because Juliet's parents don't know about this they wanted Juliet to marry Paris. Which created a whole new issue. When Juliet finds out that her father is the one who is pushing the relationship between Paris and her, she specifically tells her father no. Romeo and Juliet is Shakespeare's first authentic tragedy. It is about two lovers who commit suicide when their feuding families prevent them from being together. The play has many characters, each with its own role in keeping the plot line. Some characters have very little to do with the plot; but some have the plot revolving around them. While the character of Friar Lawrence spends only a little time on stage, he is crucial to the development of the conclusion of the play. It is Friar Laurence’s good intentions, his willingness to take risks and his shortsightedness that lead to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
A hero is described as someone who, in the opinion of others, has "special qualities and is perceived as a role model.” In the play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, Friar Lawrence fits this definition of a hero. Friar Lawrence is a selfless character who is always trying to help others and make people happy. Had Friar Lawrence not been involed with Romeos and Juliets decisions the story may not have had a tragic ending. In William Shakespeare’s play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence should be blamed for the death of the two main characters. The first mistake Friar Lawrence does, is secretly marrying the two lovers with out the parents consent right after romeo had just loved his "perfect" Rosaline. Then, he agrees, to the Capulet’s, to marry Paris and Juliet. Lastly, the worst mistake was he giving Juliet the sleeping potion. All of his actions combined lead to the main character’s suicidal action.

The on-going feud between the Montague and Capulet families could be held responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, because if their was no feud between these families then Romeo and Juliet would have been able to have a safe normal relationship in which their family would have agreed to.
Who is the most to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? There are many opinions on who is to blame for the deaths of these "star crossed lovers." One of these opinions is that both Romeo and Juliet are equally to blame for their own deaths. Romeo nor Juliet knew how to resolve their own problems and went directly to Friar Lawrence. Whenever Romeo and Juliet failed to resolve their problem, their resolution was suicide. Romeo and Juliet also withheld the love affair between them, from their families.
Both Romeo and Juliet go to Friar Lawrence at different times during the play. Had it not been for Friar Lawrence, Romeo and Juliet would have never gotten far enough into their relationship to commit suicide.
