Star-Crossed Lovers “Love is like a rose it is beautiful, but it can hurt you” -unknown. This applies to Romeo and Juliet because they both loved each other so much, but, in the end, that love made them both commit suicide and hurting both their families. The circumstances didn’t let them be together, therefore, who was to blame for their deaths? Friar Lawrence obviously is to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s suicide, but Friar John, the Nurse, Old Capulet, and Lady Capulet are also culpable. Friar John is culpable for Romeo and Juliet’s demise. Friar John didn’t deliver Juliet’s letter to Romeo informing him of her “death”. This prevailed to Romeo being misinformed and the play having a tragic ending. Another reason to blame Friar John is that he shouldn’t have stayed with the family, he was trusted to deliver the letter, but didn’t do his job. Friar John could have given the letter to someone else and given orders to hand it over to Romeo. Old Capulet is blameworthy, also. He was inflicting Juliet to marry Paris, although she didn’t want to and threatened that she would kill herself but Capulet didn’t take her threat seriously.Capulet didn’t care about Juliet’s feelings and ignored her …show more content…

That being the case, she supported Juliet and Romeo's marriage, and they fell in love which made them both ignorant to the fact that their death would affect their families. Additionally, the Nurse advised Juliet to marry Romeo she evens encourages Juliet to meet with Romeo in secret and she delivered Juliet’s letters to Romeo. The Nurse tells Juliet “Romeo is good as dead” and betrays Juliet when she most needs her. If the Nurse would have done her job of informing the Capulets of Juliet’s whereabouts then they could have prevented the whole relationship. Juliet loved Romeo and the Nurse didn’t stand up for their love thence she can be blamed for this
