The Government should create free community colleges because this can promote other people in society to strive for their dream job. If the government creates more free community college this can help induce more high school students, especially student who are in the low class to enroll in college and earn a degree. Having this in place can also help students strive for a higher education. In most cases, that part-time job will only pay about half of it. The time a student spends working is not equal to the amount of time spent studying. It is hard for the students to catch up in class and in homework. The more time spent doing homework is less sleeping time, and can really affect a student's ability to get a good grade Additionally, having a job can cause some scheduling conflicts. For instance, a person is who is off the clock ten minutes before the class starts meanwhile your campus is an hour away. Therefore, having free tuition for community colleges, allows students to concentrate, do homework, study, and rest more. Resulting in having a high GPA, and getting scholarships from four-year colleges. Secondly, lower class families will finally be able to go to college. Lower class families will have a hard time finding a job due to not having a diploma or GED. A diploma and GED is substantial into finding a job to support your needs and wants. The state can start funding colleges with new computers, books, and lab equipment that can help the learning process more beneficial and enjoyable. As stated above, it simply about if we have more students enrolling in college the more money we can earn to attract even more people. This all comes together because it all equals to everyone earning a degree without struggling to pay for it. As long as we exist there will always be disagreements. Some people argue that the government should not take the course of action in making community colleges free because people may not take it seriously. Some people may believe just because the college they are attending is free they really don’t have to put their all into it. According to Trade Schools, Colleges and Universities “Many of America's top-performing high school students never apply to the most challenging colleges and universities even though they have the ability to succeed at them. They often come from minority and low-income households and end up pursuing more affordable, less-selective schools instead.” College can be a burden to many students in a variety of different ways, but the most common reason is due to funds. Making college free for students will help this problem by increasing jobs in the work industry that require degrees, they should be affordable to all people at all cost, as well as the funds should be completely cut off because it would increase jobs and help America's economy grow.
This makes students pushed harder to focus on any college that will be offered free. Thus, it wouldn’t take them longer than the average 4 years, due to them working full time as well as schooling. With fees out the way, parents don’t have to worry about not making enough savings for their child to be able to attend college. Calling a college education “free” is a contradiction because nothing in life is truly free. Someone will be responsible for paying for this education, even if it is not the person receiving it. To support this flood of hopeful college students, the American Government will have to heavily tax the working and upper classes. Taxes will have to be inflated to compensate for the price of college, and in some cases, may become outrageously high. If the upper class becomes constantly taxed, what keeps them from dropping down a class? What keeps the middle class from becoming the lower class? According to him, “The Obama administration's proposed America's College Promise plan stands to increase access to these educational opportunities and is a crucial investment not only in the future of these students, but in the country's future… America's College Promise proposal for “free” community college is not a handout. Yes, there are still entry requirements that limit the amount of students allowed into the school, but much of the drive for the students comes from the fact that they are paying a lot of money to be there. Also, giving away college education would almost certainly do the opposite of what people want it to do, which is give more money to students from richer families than from poorer ones. Free public college education is college education funded by charitable organizations and tax payer’s money as opposed to payment of tuition fee. In the United States of America college education is controlled by the states and they some are offering free public college while others are not. America has been in the debate of whether to make college education free in all the States or let it remain as it is currently whereby students fund themselves or get loans from the government to pay for tuition. It has been a tag of war between the pros and the cons each side stating their arguments and reasons for their stand. The pros argument that the government is not ready with the economic status is valid as it is evident that the country is going under tight budgets and there are worries on the status in the future. Giving examples of Washington and the history of free public college which have come to an end due to funds issues strengthens their argument. On the other hand the pros argument that the money is there and proves it by giving statistics of money being raised for example the tax for higher education makes their argument valid. According to the website MarketWatch 80% of students work at least part time. This is a sign that students need money to pay their classes, but to have the money they need to spend hours working. We spend maybe six hours at school, plus six hours working that could affect us in our academic life and our personal life. In school, they could not study enough; also for do not sleep well, we tend to fall sleep in classes.
