Forte Piano: Poem Analysis

106 Words1 Page

Forte Piano Trumpet calls and violins, Sunset falls and night begins. Notes corrupt the air. Brass ignites with loaded guns, Sounds alight, the battle’s won. Beats cascade over life and limb. Heartbeats rage beneath their cages, Drumbeats age and release their phages, They infect, then resurrect with flair. Gentiles chant for the new regime, The juveniles with falsetto screams: So hollow, and they wallow in their hymns. Bask in your newfound acoustic glow, Ear canals are bound to overflow. Decrescendos lie just around the bend. Ordained trumpeters have long gone numb, Strained violinists have ceased their strum. Even the loudest nights must come to an end.
