Nevertheless, traditional schools offer students with a plethora of enrichment activities and allow them to participate in extracurricular activities. Students are able to recognize their skills and talents through clubs, sports, and variety of community outreach programs while homeschool students only concentrate on academics. It is an important factor in a child’s development as it promotes competition which is critical as it motivates the student to continually try to improve themselves while homeschool students are isolated (Debate.org, 2017). By joining these activities, students will be aware of the tasks they are good at doing which will raise their self-esteem. Students are disciplined in traditional schools as they are not distracted and tempted to play video games, unlike homeschooled students. There are classroom rules that are established and enforced by the teacher to create order and an effective learning environment (Study.com, 2017). Teachers also incorporate competitive and cooperative teaching strategies that require students to do homework, have quizzes, tests and group works (Room 241, 2013). Quizzes and tests are a way to recap the lesson, see if the students fully understood the topic and see their progress. It is important that there is student collaboration as it enhances social skills and the students learn better when they help each other. Moreover, a school teaching environment is essential for the students’ growth and mold them into a well-rounded person. In terms of teachers, traditional schools offer qualified teachers who have prior experience in the field of teaching as well as their own specialized subject (Tobias, 2017). Unlike those children who are homeschooled by their parents that may not be a certified teacher so how sure is it that homeschooled students are getting a quality education. In a school education, parents will incur expenses of uniforms, travel and mandatory fundraisers. However, there will be higher costs in homeschool such as buying a curriculum,
