Dad was my rock. He was always there or just a phone call away. He was the funniest man I knew, he could make you smile just by him walking into the room. But with all his fun did come a serious side of him. He was a stern and disciplined man, but he could never resist the opportunity to have a little fun here and there.
As I was an only child I got to spend a lot more time with him. Looking back I really do appreciate the time I got to spend with him. From as young as I can remember I looked up to my dad. I wanted to be just like him. He taught me many thing, but most importantly he taught me how to be compassionate, how to love and how to care. Obviously growing up I feel in love with the place to. And once you step foot on the beach all your problems go away. He was an amazing lifeguard, who saved many lives. Lifesaving was his passion and that’s why he was so extraordinary at it.
Mum and dad where married for a year before they had me. I defiantly would say that dad stepped up to the role of being a father. He was always so caring and understanding, even if I did something mischievous. Dad never got very angry. Even if I asked him a thousand questions while he was trying to work. Dad was so inspirational to me, this was because of how many lives he has saved. I really do feel like I am following in his footsteps. If it wasn’t for him I would have never of found my love for the beach either.
Mum and Dad where madly in love. Don’t get me wrong it was nice to have a small family that most of the time got along. Mum and dad first met on the beach. How typical. Time always flew by when you were with dad. It was incredible. He was actually a really clever man. He would always help with my school work and assignments. Dad was just an all-round loveable
