Dishonorable behavior from a business can create problems with controllers and have adverse effects on a business's bottom line. As leader it is likely to have great wisdom and HR is the best instrument in securing the future of a functioning workforce. An effective human resource management leads an organization to success, as the human resource department offers valuable sources of information to line management and can support joining in business goals with the human resource purpose.
After viewing this film the only thing I can think of when I see the logo or hear “Enron” is corruption. This a company where highly paid executives were able to pocket millions of dollars while carelessly eroding the lifesavings of thousands of unwitting employees. It is sad to see that same company was also ethically successful, driven, focused, and environmentally responsible went down the drain. The authors state “The strategy an organization follows is its plan for how to compete successfully, survive and grow (Mathis, Jackson, Valentine 38). The leader must ensure that the purposes of the organization are known and shared, that it has the capacity to support its employees' exercising their skills, and that communication between managers and other employees is to be open and honest. All employees should obtain a copy of the code of ethics and sign a form stating they recognize the expectations. In spite of the efforts an organization makes toward creating an ethical work environment, there are employees who fail to sustain the standards. It is best to have a reporting system that allows employees to alert the organization to possible ethics violations to emphasize commitment to respectable behavior. Employees need to know they can report the violations without suffering consequences
