The mind is a precious jewel of the body, and it shines the brightest throughout your life. My platform is the 4 Points of the Crown: Scholarship, Success, Style, and Service. The four points of the crown will focus on early childhood development awareness because the future of our nation is not in the government's hands but in the educators' hands. Early childhood development is the foundation of children's eagerness to explore life through a new way of thinking. The preoperational stage is the second stage in Piaget's theory of cognitive development, which begins around age 2 as children start to talk and lasts until approximately age 7. During this stage, children begin to engage in symbolic play and learn to manipulate symbols. At this stage, children become curious about how things work.
This point of The Crown is where it all starts with early childhood development. Reaching our youth at an early age is the most effective way to create leaders who can become history makers. Jean Piaget took education to a new level when he created the stages of development, and the second stage of preoperational development showed the world that children between the ages of 2-7 are actually learning what things are at an early age. Lane College could start a new program for students to become teacher's shadows and learn from the professors on how to manage and teach classes as internships on campus. "The Second Point of the Crown is Success. Success is the ambitious feeling that you get after achieving one of your many goals. This platform will help students who don't believe in success to actually witness it happening in front of them through an early childhood development program.
- Added a comma after "child's eyes" for clarity. The third point of the Crown is style. Everyone is born with their own style. Being an individual is a quality that helps a person figure out their style. Helping the youth with male and female institutes for the community could help build up a new generation of families who would lean towards college. This program is more about developing the whole child, not just through scholarships but also in life. Developing the whole child shows you what kind of student you have and how to improve the whole child to achieve their goals. Students with style usually go on towards higher education. Creating a crafty student while they are in class and watching them go from simple and classic to sophisticated and retro chic. The fourth point of the Crown is Service. Service is defined as a system of supplying a public need to someone. I plan to partner with the Hands Up Jackson early childhood development program as a volunteer to help create future leaders of America.
