Food is a virtual part in helping our bodies grow big and strong without us digesting food our living organisms would stop growing inside us. The living cells in our body double after digesting food from our body. It would help your body if you eat healthy foods for example, Nuts, strawberries, brown rice or chicken. The more fatty foods you eat the less it will help you on your growth. This is why it is important for a baby to be getting the right types of food into its body.

Sources off food that are high in Carbohydrates are bananas, oranges, and potatoes. The more whole grain and fruit you eat the better for your body as these types of food are full of fibre and help reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
The functions of fat is an energy source to the body. When eating foods with fat content in the food it increases the absorption of fat soluble vitamins which includes the vitamins A, D, E and K. around twenty to thirty-five percent of your daily intake should come from fats. You should try and eat healthy fats such as Fish, Walnuts and vegetable based oils. Only take small amounts of saturated fats such as a fillet steak or Cheddar cheese.
The Functions of vitamins are to help blood vessels, bones and ligaments. Vitamin C is a vital source of helping blood vessels, bones and ligaments. They also come in plant sources such as coconut and palm kernel oils. Saturated fats are bad for blood cholesterol as it will raise it up. Saturated fats are also associated risk with developing cardiovascular disease. Try don’t go over eating more than seven percent saturated fat content in your daily calories.

Monounsaturated fat is the healthiest type of dietary fat. Monounsaturated fats are stable for high temperatures so this is why people use them for cooking as it is a healthier way for cooking. Monounsaturated fat is a double bonded carbon. It will be liquid when it is in room temperature but when it is in a cooled placed with a chill it will turn back hard and into a solid. An example for this would be olive oil. When you are eating a healthy diet in is important that you get some fat in your diet.
