Often referred to as ‘ The Don ‘, ‘ The Trumpster’, or ‘DJT’, Donald John Trump is classified as one of the most successful real estate entrepreneurs in the U.S. Donald was born June 14, 1946 and brought up in New York City, living comfortably, as his father, Fred Trump, brought home a considerable income as a real estate owner in Brooklyn. Perhaps Donald Trump is such a distinguished entrepreneur, because he has invested money in several different industries and been through a roller coaster of failures and successes.
Donald’s early life consisted of his attendance at New York Military Academy and Fordham University. Eventually he transferred to the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, where he received his bachelor's degree in economics in 1968. Donald’s first legitimate job, which inspired him to enter the real estate industry, was with his father in real estate. Donald was adamant about the lessons that his father taught him in the construction and real estate industry, and claims that he would not be where he is today without his fathers wisdom. It wasn’t until the early 1970’s that Donald began to desire something that would get him the big bucks. He grew tired and bored of working with his father where they sold middle-class rental housing. Donald sought to move onto bigger, commercial real estate development. He saw a window of opportunity to jump into commercial real estate when New York City began offering large tax breaks to investors who were willing to purchase real estate. By helping an innumerable amount of charities Trump creates a positive image for himself, while also helping many people, whether it be for the welfare of a particular group of people, or supporting wildlife.

While working in city government, Plunkitt used his position to benefit himself and his friend, for example, he would “go to that place and I buy up all the land I can in the neighborhood. Then the board of this or that makes its plan public, and there is a rush to get my land, which nobody cared, particular for before. Ain’t it perfectly honest to charge a good price and make a profit on my investment and foresight? Of course, it is. Well, that’s honest graft. Or supposin’ it’s a new bridge they’re goin’ to build.
