Choosing Adoption over Abortion
People should choose adoption over abortion. Abortion, to me, is murder that is based on one’s selfishness. Google defines abortion as: deliberate termination of human pregnancy. Pregnancy is carrying a child, or in other words carrying another human. Last I checked, terminating or bringing an end to a human life for selfish reasons is considered murder when done deliberately, and it should be stopped. Abortion is a nice way of saying to murder the unborn child. When people have a pregnancy that was a mistake they look at abortion as there way out. But what they don’t realize is that there pregnancy wasn’t a mistake at all God has a plan and that baby was part of the plan just without their knowledge. So instead of doing something that would help the child, they just help themselves and choose to abort. Since women in america choose to have an abortion rather than put their child up for adoption a lot of couples have to go to out of country agencies which is a longer process and cost them a lot of money, so if the couple doesn’t have enough money to go through the process and be able to provide for the child then they can’t be a parent like they want to be. Abortion refers to the termination of one’s pregnancy, resulting in the removal of one’s fetus to prevent it from being born. While the concept is simple enough, the crux of the argument lies in the morality of this procedure and whether or not a woman should be allowed to sacrifice a fetus to better her own life. Abortion must continue to be legalized in order to ensure that women have that choice.
When a couple or individual decides to adopt a child, they know they are going to take on the responsibility of taking care of someone else’s child. Due to the biological parent(s) who can’t take care of that child anymore, because of either drug abuse, alcohol abuse, abuse to the child or if the parent(s) had died and there is no other care for the child. Many women who carry unexpected or unwanted children are left to decide between keeping the child, adoption, abortion and maybe foster care. Most of the time the decision is just between adoption and abortion. In that case, the mother is losing the child either way. Most of the time choosing adoption or foster care would be a better choice than abortion because the pregnancy would end by giving life instead of death. Adoption and foster care are an opportunity for people who wish to be parents, but are not able to have a child of their own to finally become parents or people who have children of their own, but want to add-on to their family.
There are so many families that are not able to have their own children, but adoption is a great way for child loving families to have the opportunity to raise and bond with children in need of parents.
