My father never went to college, but he says that it will expand my chances of success and help earn more money in my future. My mom went to Southern Union State Community College, but she dropped out after she had me. Even though college is a big expense, it is worth the cost because it is expanding one’s knowledge and job opportunities. College may be a big expense, but it prepares one for their future and career. “ Fifty-five percent of college graduates say college was helpful in helping them prepare for a career,” states Pew Research Center. It teaches one to wake up earlier like they would if they had a job. Because one doesn’t want to be late for class let alone your future job. It also teaches one to turn their stuff in on time because most college professors don’t accept late work. And when one gets a job they will need to turn in their assignments on time or your pay might get docked. “Forty-seven of college graduates say college teaches work related skills,” quotes Pew Research Center. College teaches you skills like getting along with others and collaborating. In high school one could turn in late work, their grade just might get points taken off of it. In your future career one is going to have to collaborate with their coworkers and get along with them. If the person doesn’t others will see their work ethic as low and people might get promoted before them. Even though college is a huge expense it is worth the cost. College is worth the cost because it expands one’s education and knowledge. It is also worth the cost because it prepares the person for a career and teaches work related skills. So in my opinion college is worth the cost and no one can ever change
