“A daily school meal provides a strong incentive to send children to school and keep them there,” ( World Food Programme). Where do most schools get their food from and why? We are facing problems with our school lunches because not everyone is receiving the nutrition they need and in some countries a school meal is the only nutritious meal they eat.
Where are schools around the world getting there food from? Kids around the world are not gaining the nutrition they need. “In some countries, school meals are often the only regular and nutritious meal a child receives,” (World Food Programme). This all depends on who or what or where these schools buy their food from. “School meals help families to educate their children and protect their food security in times of crisis,” (World Food Programme). Schools providing a good meal a day could make kids want to stay in school and want to learn because that may be the only meal they eat. If students do not a good meal it could cause them to want to go home or not want to learn because they are hungry.

We have the problems locally and nationally with our school lunches. Kids locally and nationally are not grasping the nutrition/ fresh food that they need in school lunches. Locally and nationally this is all depending on where schools buy their food from. Also, locally and nationally they have a difference locally the problem is that school lunches do not have enough fresh food they only have fresh fruit. Nationally school are not being able to give the kids a nutritious meal or the school meal being the only nutritious meal they eat or the only meal they eat in general. The central idea is that locally and nationally we have a problem in our school lunches, and these problems are both caused by the same reason the places the school’s choose to buy the food from. We need to try and find a better way to supply the food. A way that’s nutritious and fresh and
