The justice oriented person is a chance to change the world 2017 “Every individual, activity and population has an impact on Earth, though their use of natural resources and ecological services and the generation of waste” (Benito Cao, “Environment and citizenship”, 2015, p. 217). However, this seemingly fundamental essence of the life of mankind turns into an ecological crisis of the present and future. To change the picture of the world we must proceed environmental injustices arm-in-arm with the social justice issues, which cannot be solved without the confirmation and engagement of each other. People who face with the problem, which have never been really thought by citizens of other regions, such as the situation when salty seawater from melting polar ice caps infiltrates low-lying rivers and underground freshwater, the sole source of drinking water for millions of humans, for instance. Millions of humans suffer and die just because they were born in “a wrong” place. Consequently, caring for them is an obligation by “more fortunate” people who have their meal and shelter. Perhaps the desire to improve and wishing something more, besides than one already has, this distinguish a person from other animals. However, according to the Benito Cao, “Joel Westheimer and Joseph Kahne have identified three main types of citizens produced by different Environmental pedagogies: the personally responsible citizen; the participatory citizen; and the justice-oriented citizen … we must add a fourth and increasingly dominant type: the consumer-citizen” (Benito Cao, “Environment and citizenship”, 2015, p.213). The person absorbing through the focus of individual responsibilities and social justice is “a person of the future”. Only reasonable consumption, taking into account the interest of people around can vary the prospects of humanity as a species.
