Introduction The best leaders are the best problem solvers, leaders when faced by a problem, they take their time to analyze the problem and understand it for them to solve it. Being courageous, optimistic, resilient and open minded are key aspects for effective leadership in solving difficulties. “Leadership is simply the ability to turn a dream or a vision of a desired future state into a reality with and through the cooperation of other people. To throw your life into something worthwhile, your dream must be worth dying for” (Kehler). Therefore, this report shows how leaders need to do or be for them to tackle problems efficiently and in the best way. Background of the Company Xerox corporations limited is an American document management corporation that produces and sells copiers, displays, faxes, printers, projectors, scanners and other related supplies. The Xerox Company was found in 1906 as the Haloid Company in Rochester, New York, and was later known as Xerox in 1961. “The Xerox Company since its inception has created business and has reached business realm through offering the best quality products and services” (Balanchandra). Currently, the company has a market share in 130 countries and has about 60,000 employees. Xerox is ranked position 130 in the fortune 500 company list. The company did well up to the year 1999. However, the company accrued huge losses of $273m and $94m for the year 2000 and 2001 respectively. The structure of Xerox has a chairperson who is the C.E.O.- this person is the head of the corporation, corporate officers- accelerate the company’s growth and building value for our stakeholders, board of directors- responsibility includes optimizing financial returns and delivering value to our customers, employees, suppliers, communities and other key stakeholders and executive speakers-they deals with topics like leadership, technology
