hadn’t been drinking and in the back of his mind the alcohol was forming a scab around the bleeding fear of dying. “Why don’t you kiss it and be done or wouldn’t it be funny if nothing happened and then they hauled your ass to jail for trespassing.” Fest nervously licked his lips. “Feel the change in the temperature. I can see the goose bumps on your arms. The airs heavy and soon it will make its choice.” Chad had to agree the air now held a chilly bite to it. Something was definitely building to a climax. The beer and the stress were spiking his blood pressure and his head was pounding to the point he no longer really cared what happened. “I’m old and don’t have much else to lose,” Chad declared pushing his chair back so he could stand up.
