Dress Code Protests

In an attempt to satisfy dress code protests, OCDSB announces that a new school uniform will be enforced as of September 8th, 2015 for the new school year.

The new dress code consists of white shoes with non-marking soles, black socks, and a onesie. Onesies may be of any colour, but must not have a printed pattern like pyjamas.

“Pyjamas are just too casual for school,” Principals claim, “Our schools are learning environments and must be taken seriously.”

However, we must ask if this new dress code is reasonable. Surveys show that many students believe that the one-piece ensembles are too “fashion forward” and will be uncomfortable to sit in for a whole day of classes. Also, social media websites like Tumblr and Facebook have exploded with
