Domestic Terrorist Group Analysis

For my paper I chose to evaluate the differences/similarities with two groups in the U.S. and two domestic terrorist groups in another country. For my domestic terrorist groups I chose the Ku Klux Klan and the Earth Liberation Front. For my foreign terrorist groups I chose Hamas and Boko Haram. I chose these groups because of their relevance in current times. The fact that these groups have been brought to my attention by the American media has stricken my interest. We as a planet need to acknowledge these potentially hazardous groups and utilize what we can to stop these groups from causing harm to innocent lives and to themselves. The activist’s anti-capitalists, green anarchists, deep ecologists and eco-feminists. Their objective is to make overturning social and ecological conditions, as part of and earth liberation movement. . Leader 2003. This group has a bit more of a detrimental effect then the KKK this group has the tenacity to effect the lively hoods of day to day Americans, by “torching sport utility vehicles, ski resorts, research labs.” Phillips 2014. This group has some good points to make evident to the public which are the fact animals are used for experiments and the ecological damage corporations do to gain substantial profits. Their means to create chaos have been drastic the most common have been sabotage towards capitalist corporations and other organizations who are destroying the natural environment. Their main objective is to bring to light the atrocities that are done every day to wildlife both land and sea. The most common means to attract followers is of course religion and the systematic brainwashing of its followers this will then lead to threats to any country who does not see or agree with the said views. This organization is broken down into different regions such as a “welfare and admin branch who recruits individuals, a military branch which coordination, a security branch which collects information and a publication branch who omits propaganda.” Levitt 2008. With all this coordination it is a versatile and dangerous group capable of the most atrocious acts. In order to keep these types of organizations from sprouting up we need to educate potential recruits and inform them of the backwards way of thinking that they may witness.
