DECLINE OF ROME I believe that the biggest reasons for Roman's decline are the loss of morals. Morals are standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for people to be doing. Without morals, there is no "right or wrong", so anything goes. People can basically do whatever they want without consequence. Without morals, there are no ethics or values. Ethics are moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity, and values are a person's principles or standards of behavior.
