The question that everyone ask is did slavery cause the civil war. Is there a simple answer or is there something really deeper than the information given? Slavery has not only impacted history but it’s impact on morals and philosophical reasoning how life should be more equal than socially ranked. The main reasons why I believe slavery was the cause of Civil War are plantations, economic issues, and racial divisions. Without slavery, would the topic Civil War pop up? Most likely not and for the simple fact is that without slaves the south would be struggling tremendously because of their economic issues. It could go both ways because if the south wasn’t as demanding or intelligent, they would have struggled because adapting to a new style would burden them and that their superior ego would cause them to struggle even more. The 1800s were the first years of the Industrial Revolution for America and it was all new to them. The North was smart to use all races and put them together and be able to create a new establishment for everything. The South couldn’t establish that type of style because of their superior ego. In addition to that, having slaves to do the work for them would’ve put them at a higher rate of success than if they didn’t. The political story would’ve also been corrupted because the politics always and always have made decisions because of their superiority meaning the bigger and stronger government would take over and crush their ego. We all know what it is like for our ego or pride to be taken away, when it does we get really revengeful and make decisions that we aren’t supposed to. How come the North believed African Americans and Whites are equal but the South felt that White were superior than the African Americans? What was the cause of that reasoning or feeling? Ever since the 1800s, many questions that wish to be answered but can’t and for that reason, Racial Division is a personal feeling and reasoning. You can’t really give an answer because most are personal and biased opinion. The EMancipation proclamation freed 4.3 million slaves out of 5 million slaves. All that is just giving them freedom but not rights .If I were to judge, it would be wrong because not only is it not morally right but the fact that life shouldn’t been set up that way. You could tell after the civil war, that segregation and racial division even increased after slavery. That meant America was at it’s worse after slavery and the South especially was affected because they still had that mindset then. Given all the reasons why it is wrong is the word itself and what it represented gave all the reasons why it’s sad because we will never know how harsh it was for the African Americans.
