Deshaun Watson Case Study Answers

While many believe Clemson's Deshaun Watson is the answer, drafting the QB could actually destroy the New York Jets.

Mike Macagnan: A terrible draft pick, at number six, Mac would be putting his job on the line after this pick. Without question. He has a great deal to lose.

Todd Bowles: As does head coach Todd Bowles, who the Jets gave another 12 months to right the ship after one tragic season. Mr. Bowles can not assume without a doubt, the Jets as a team will be better off drafting another rookie QB in a year they need to improve.

Both must come up impressive in this year's draft or it could be their unquestionably last...at least with the Jets.

The guideline on if the Jets sign a player basically comes down to Woody Johnson having to be on board

While Deshaun is intriguing at six, nevertheless there are better players at six. Possibly a team might want to trade up for Watson, which then the Jets could gain multiple picks in exchange for the sixth pick of this year's draft. Overall, there are better options than drafting Watson.

Quarterback Option:

Jets are better off signing a free agent QB to start this year. Good and well if Tyrod Taylor becomes available. I'm all for that these the next few years while the Jets are searching for their "Franchise QB". Taylor would benefit this club fairly nice.

Mike Glennon, who is going to be overpaid paid outrageously this year asking for a $15 million dollar contract. According to spotrac.com, Tyrod is just five more million per his market Value, which is not unacceptable for a top 10 rated NFL Quarterback.

Who else is out there with any experience and who plays solid at the QB position? No one, Kirk Cousins will be franchised tagged and please restrict mentioning Colin Kaepernick.

Unfortunately, it's woody's world, New York Jets fans are doomed to live in.
