A lot of people use the term soulmate for their one true love: their husband or wife but, I believe my best friend is my soulmate. From the first day I met Jason I knew we were going to be friends for a long time, I just had a good feeling about him. Freshman year fourth period math was where my life would be forever changed, the first day of class our teacher had a seating chart and he sat us next to each other but different rows, we started talking and getting to know each other more. We knew each other from middle school, but we never talked because we hung out with different people. I knew I was going to like him because we had a lot in common and we were both very sarcastic and witty I finally found someone on my level. Jason and I aren’t your normal type of best friends, we both come from families of tough love so the way we show our love is by being mean and sarcastic to each other. I mean we are also nice and loving, and do nice things for each other, but mostly we are always insulting the other person. When we are around other people we try to be nicer to each other because most people would not understand how we are best friends and can say such insulting things to each other. He tries to keep his emotions inside or hidden but he shows his emotions when it gets overwhelming or is vulnerable, me on the other hand I just let my emotions out like a waterfall because I don’t really care. I would rather be honest with myself on my emotions then trying to look like everything is okay to everyone else. I may be an emotional person, but getting my emotions out, crying it out helps me understand and handle my struggle that I am going through at the moment.
