Some people think success is all about fortune, fame, and money. In my viewpoint success is not about the fame, fortune, and money, success is working hard and not being scared to fail or lose. “In order to succeed, your desire for success must be greater than your fear of losing.” A successful person is not scared to fail and does not let losing bring them down but rise them up.
Some successful and accomplished Soccer players that I look up to are Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Gabriel Jesus. These three all have something in common, they all grew up on the streets with little money and they had to work for the positions they are in now. They had to train and work really hard. One reason they stand out from all the other soccer players in the world is because they took risks not knowing if they would fail or succeed. For example, Ronaldo was only 16 when he had been chosen to play for Manchester United. He had to move away from his family and live on his own. He was determined to succeed even though he did not know what would happen. Gabriel Jesus in 2014 was sweeping the streets of brazil and cleaning trash for money. Three years later in 2017 he was playing for Manchester City, one of the best clubs in Europe. This shows you what hard work and a desire to succeed does to people. When I was in 5th grade, I tried out for the Georgia Soccer ODP team. I made it to the second tryout, but I did not make the team. I was sad for a little bit, but then I was offered a second chance. I made the most of the second chance and did not let fear of failing get in my head, and I made the team. In addition, last year I switched clubs to play with some of the best kids in my area.
