What was each intended to accomplish, and how are they similar and/or different? Would either be meaningful without the other? Why or why not? Response: Declaration of Independence & the Constitution of the United States The two most important documents in the history of the United States of America are the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. These two documents have similarities and differences but are the cornerstone and foundation in which the United States government is founded upon. Moreover, through the glory and guidance of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, America has been envied and sought after by people throughout the world.
