Dance Vs Cheerleading Research Paper

Dance and cheer are a sport I would say, they both have the same components

as any other sport. In dance you have to be strong, have great stamina, be flexible

and have endurance. In cheer you workout a lot, run and have stamina.

What they both share in common is that everyone who is a dancer or a

cheerleader have love for what they do. There are many reasons why I think

dance is better than cheerleading. Although there are some very big differences

between dance and cheerleading and I’m going to be telling you some.

Dance is my favorite, I’ve tried both cheerleading and dancing. Dance

is graceful its a mix of sharp and slow movements, dancing may involve being

more graceful but it’s still just as difficult as cheerleading. …show more content…

Dance also involves ariels which is kind of a cartwheel but

without your hands.

In dance you could have unlimited amount of dancers and the dance would

look amazing. My director always says the more people the better it looks and I

couldn’t agree more. In dance you don’t only have to dance but you could do

contagions and it would look just as cool. In dance you have to be very flexible

for all the leaps and grand jetes. I love dance because you could do so many

things and show emotion for all of them it’s like if you’re telling a story through

dancing so your facials always have to go with the song and the dance.

Cheer is very different from dance because their personalities. Cheerleaders

very bubbly, super loud, all over the place and let’s be honest sometimes

obnoxious. Cheer all you mostly do is stunt, stunting may be cool but they’re

just throwing someone up in the air. What happens if you don’t catch the flier? Or

If one of the bases accidentally twists the fliers ankle? There are many
