Cyberbullying is Wrong (Intro)There is more to bullying than just the bullying that happens face to face. Although those bullies are more aggressive and less afraid of the consequences; there is also cyberbullying. This can be just as bad if not worse than bullying in person. There are three main positions in bullying: the person being bullied, the actual bully, and the bystander. Bullying can affect the physical health of children. Recently cyberbullying has increased drastically. Cyberbullying could actually be anonymous, and it needs to be stopped. When a child is being bullied they tend to fall into depression. Not only does bullying hurt a person mentally, but it could also be very physical. Some people are so mean that they will literally beat someone. They don’t realise the consequences that this could have. Some people also don’t care if a person commits suicide until it actually happens. Suicide could also have a chain reaction. The bully may feel so bad about what they did that they will do the same thing. Then a parent or someone close to the bully could also do the same and so on. A child may go into depression or experience great anxiety. They could also change a lot of their habits like: eating patterns, sleeping patterns, or just completely lose interest the things that they used to love doing. They become very sad, and they stop going to school. Then matters become worse because they may begin to harm themselves. They tend to hide these things, so no one knows what certain children are actually going through. Some children start to gain health complaints. A person being bullied can also begin to experience in a drop in their school achievements. This could include sports or even grades. These students may also miss, skip, or even drop out of school. Any type of bullying can lead to many more problems. Not all of these kids react with violence, but about 12 out of 15 school shootings the shooter has had a history of being …show more content…

Bullying used to just only be at school. The children would be beaten on the bus, or get their lunch money stolen, or even just get teased or made fun of in general. Once the child got home they were safe. This is no longer true. When a child gets home they are not necessarily safe. The result of social media has made it so the bully can assault their “victim” whenever they wanted to, not just at school.
When a child is constantly bullied their body tends to react to it. The body reacts by muscle tension, and the heart races and the the body releases adrenalin. Later in life when this happens to often, it weakens the immune system, and can cause many health problems. Not only does it affect people physically; bullying affects a person mentally as well. A child could battle depression and have to deal with thoughts of suicide. Sometimes a child needs to have mental health treatment.
