Introduction Strategic planning is the documented long term planning of implementation for electronic healthcare record (EHR) system replacing the paper workflow. By taking such step the Curtin Hospital is taking a step forward toward the improvement of both its patients and stakeholders. A lot of research has been dome via literature references and data analysis before implementing this idea. Few advance technologies like SWOT analysis is been taken into consideration for understanding the problematic areas which need attention. A single miss in any of the above will cost huge to the plan as well as to the hospital. Strategic Goals Although the Curtin Hospital have its own brand, still there is always a need of improvement and unlike other improvement, this change will definitely change the overall visionary and action of the Hospital. All the redefined roles and actions of the Hospital will be remaining the same except the transition from paper to electronic pathway of maintaining system. The reason for this change is due to two reasons: • First the Hospital is planning for expansion in terms of bed number and service provider. Right Leadership: For any kind of transformation in an organization, influence should be in top to down form so as to create maximum impact on the majority class of people. The leadership should be highly committed in making the implementation as an organizational priority. Moreover they should be capable of foreseeing the future as well as motivating others towards the adoption of the change. 2. Shared Vision: The vision of the hospital should be clear and well defined so all so that they can understand the motive behind such change and can easily embrace it. Patients should always be the prime consideration. All the people involved should be made aware of the goals and benefits so that it will craete a positive influence on their mind as well. 3. Right Culture: Cultural diversity is seen in every organization. Therefore providing the right resources in terms of equipment, technology, education and training can make the change management more successful.
