In a world filled with many different cultures, sometimes people cannot see past their own culture. People tend to think that their own values are right and that their cultural practices are the only customs and beliefs that should be followed. When confronted with a different culture, most people will see differences as “wrong.” We see it in politics and religion all the time. In most cases a person’s culture can affect the way they see the world and others. I think a person’s culture, to an extent, affects their views of people and of the world. In the story, “An Indian Fathers Plea,” the way the character, Wind-Wolf, is raised affects the way he views the white culture and in turn, the white culture affects how they view him. Wind-Wolf
