The books and materials used in data collection acted as the source of information for writing the paper. Some of the books related the Indian culture to the different aspects of cultural materialism. (Sen 2004) states an outline on the history of the Indian culture. It describes the Indian culture as a great adversity that has even assimilated children in the great diversity. (Prakash 2005) states the interrelationship between cultural materialism in relationship to the Indian culture. Cultural materialism is made into three layers that include structure, infrastructure, and superstructure. The book presents how a change in one of the factor influences the other. (Kasbekar 2006) gives a description on the leadership system and how they can be affected by cultural materialism. The paper focuses in giving an explanation to the Indian culture and existing interrelationship between culture, infrastructure and superstructure.

The Indian culture is one of the oldest in the world and it refers to how the people of India live their life. The India’s religion, dance, language, food and architecture differ from place to place in the country. The culture is an amalgamation of different cultures that is found across the Indian subcontinent (Prakash 2005). The country is the birth place of many of the religious beliefs such as Sikhism, Buddhism, and Hinduism. There are substantial linguistic, cultural, regional and religion variations in the country. The description of culture in India is based on assertions such as the political entity. The different aspects of cultural materialism that include structure, infrastructure, Superstructure is existent in India.

...and this makes it has a high number of clans. The children grow up by learning and coping on how to assimilate the great diversity. Evolution of the Indian culture has occurred for a long time. The caste system used in categorization according to class and economy is weakening to some extent in the relationship to the adherence on hereditary occupation and the norms of pollution and purity. The social hierarchy that the people in the society term as strict defines Indian culture. The children in the society are constantly remained of their roles and place in the society. The belief in the hierarchy is made worse by the belief in the spirits and the gods who they believe have a functional and integral role in determining their lives (Owell and Paris 2011). Although they share of the common characteristics, religion and taboo separates the different Indian cultures.
