What makes me lose track of time? Criminal justice make me lose track of time in a way can’t explain. However, its not just criminal justice, its the process of the investigation, why did they do it, and what they was thinking while committing the crime. I’ve always been intrigued with the criminal justice system and how it works. For this reason, I find myself researching all types of crimes and watching documentaries. Criminal justice is something that always captivate my attention and I take it very seriously.
In fact, I have been passionate about criminal justice since middle school. Criminal justice gives me an indescribable feeling every time I talk or read about it. Also, I love the each crime has its own uniqueness and patterns. For example, the murder, the motives, where and how the crime happen is totally different each time. I believe that paying attention to details, understanding motives, and trying to relate to the victim will lead to a big discovery.

In other words, receiving justice is some I believe in strongly, but the system is corrupt. Ironically, I still find myself imagining that I can be the one to fix the system. In addition, I recently read about the 1999 Columbine High School shooting which led to 15 dead and 24 injured. I found myself getting lost in the facts and why they committed such an unexplainable crime. Moreover, the shooting made me feel multiple feeling but one thing for sure is that it gave me even more incentive to get justice for people in the
Many people advocate the philosophy of "An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth," but few of them realize that to take revenge is often to sacrifice oneself and that the very purpose of law is to put an end to revenge. People are willing to sacrifice their freedom, their careers, and even their lives for revenge. Lorenzo Carcaterra's novel Sleepers, and Tom Savage's novel, Valentine, evidently express this. Although its true that it might take couple of years for criminals to get what they deserve, most of the time the law gets the job done. In addition, some may argue that the law doesn't always ensure justice. This is also true, but it’s still not worth to sacrifice oneself. We should let the law do its job.
That’s it, police officer. I grew up watching crime movies and cop shows, but knew that that was never reality. I started getting interested in court cases and the mind of a serial killer. Why do they do it, was always my question. I searched for more answers and found that the behavior plays an important role.
I've never been able to make time real for myself. I can't remember whether something happened two weeks ago or three years ago. Or when I was in England the last time. The calendar doesn't seem to exist in my head. It all melts together. It always has. It's probably a form of insanity. I thought I would try to write that way - simply melt the days, the months and the years, because I really do believe that we move through the world carrying the past and that it's always alive in the back of our head. We are making constant references between what we see now and what we saw then, between what we hear now and what we heard then ... one asks a policeman for directions: as one listens, the hairs sticking out of his nose become important, reminding one of a father, brother, son with the same feature, and one's conflict with him or one's friendship come to mind, and this all over a period of seconds while objectively taking note of how to get to where one wants to go.
Within the Criminal Justice System there is diverse career opportunities to choose from. The career I am interested in being is a Criminal Profiler with the FBI National Center for Analysis of Violent Crime. I am interested in this job because it seems to be an intense job to do. A criminal profiler's job is to create a psychological profile of a criminal suspect. Creating one of these profiles can be used to help catch the suspect. This is done by examining evidence from the crime, interviewing witnesses and victims, and analyzing crime scenes. Information obtained from these investigations can then be used to help the profiler determine a pattern of criminal behavior. Most of the time the information that was collected can be used to find out more about the suspect.
In a world filled with criminal shows on television, it is difficult to get an accurate idea of what it truly means to be a police officer or a detective. It seems easier to absorb the analysis they present and simultaneously solve the case; however, is that truly how it works? Criminal Minds is one of the most popular shows on television today. This is due to the way it portrays the FBI in their endless search for villains unfound and rampant. Law and Order portrays the entire process of find, justifying, and incriminating offenders. Another show similar to Law and order is 24. 24 goes through an entire day in one, twenty-four episode, season. It does this in great detail to show the audience how they arrived at conclusion of who was guilty.
Justice affects us everyday of our lives. In history it has been proven over and over again. People like Gandhi, and Susan B. Anthony and Chief Joseph have went from no one, to people we read in our textbooks today. They have all taken a stand to those who want to affect us because they don't want these people to effect their friends, family and the world. From this, it is important for people to take a stand on justice in society.
Criminal justice is one of the most important majors one can study due to the necessity to keep the streets safe and clean. From street cops, to state troopers all the way to criminal psychologists the criminal justice system is a very important part of modern society as it keeps us safe from murders, rapists and various other criminals. The street cops are the ones that are out on our streets protecting every citizen. It can be as simple as writing a parking ticket on a car that is illegally parked, to arresting murderers and rapist in a quiet neighborhood in the suburbs. The cops are the ones that are keeping our streets more safe for families everywhere. The main thing I want to learn about Criminal Justice is where I can go with my degree. By studying criminal justice I would like to be able to pursue my dreams of becoming a Drug enforcement agent so that I can help make neighborhoods safe and take bad people off the public streets.
Each of these criminal justice professionals keeps the criminals off the street or discovers ways to return them to society. Criminal justice professionals must be able to work with your mind and help protect the rights of others. The roles, responsibilities, and various career opportunities within these fields are vital to serving societal needs.
that if someone killed me, I would like my death avenged, but pondering on the
Why do we enjoy watching shows like NCIS and CSI when someone is constantly being killed, whether it be multiple murders or a single murder. But it is those grueling multiple murders that attract not only my interest but millions around the world. NCIS is the second most watched show in the United States, this show frequently involves serial killers in their plots. Jeffrey Dahmer one of the most famous serial killers ever known not only killed his victims but also ate them. He did not kill anyone famous but because he did something so taboo he had intrigued people across the entire country. I believe it is the significant difference in their thought process and what they believe is right and wrong is what causes curiosity among the world. This
Sometimes we do this because of a common belief that people generally get what they deserve. However, these beliefs may prevent us from understanding and appreciating other's actions and perspectives. These beliefs may also falsely insulate us from the realities and challenges we all face.
Without the understanding of what really happened in an event or place and time justice is not being sought out and can’t be dealt to those that need it. We all have felt wronged, at one time or another, in one form or another and I feel that is why we all have a common interest in seeking justice.
Over the years, I have seen numerous crime shows and movies, both fiction and nonfiction. While many people find the fiction crime entertainment more enjoyable, I much prefer the real story. The fiction side of the crime entertainment available today is widely popular. New shows and movies are continually being produced to fuel this interest the public appears to have developed semi-recently.
I am highly interested in the show because upon the start of the episode I am sitting on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the offender and how the offender is going to kill the victim(s). Many of my friends tease me because I am incapable to handle the sight of blood, yet alone the sight of a dead body, but I am captive in attempting to understand what drives in offender to commit crimes. I believe that I am captive by this crime drama because of the interrogations that happens upon finding the Unknown Subjects. I am someone aspiring to become a lawyer, and I am intrigued to watch public servants either follow proper protocol or use the any means necessary tactic. For example in Season 1, a police officer had a federal undercover police officer as a friend. This police officer almost risked his career as a public servant to turn off the cameras in the interrogation room, and assault the offender to receive information about the location of his federal undercover police officer. In my opinion, Criminal Minds always grabs my undivided attention because I am able to learn the importance of respect to jurisdiction. Simply meaning that I am learning that public servants do not appreciate the higher authority coming in and calling
Has justice always prevailed in your life? Well, it hasn't in mine. There have been many times where I didn't think that justice prevailed. For example, I have volleyball almost every single weekend. There are always two days we get to play. The first day is to place us in a pool for sunday which is single elimination and championships. My team always wins every game on Saturday but looses on Sunday. To me justice does not prevail in this case. We are such a good team and always win but somehow, the win always falls into better hands for the other team on Sunday. This just doesn't make sense. Why doesn't justice prevail? Why can't things always work the way we want them to? To me, justice does not always prevail. Knowing this, I know that I will never always have justice prevail in my case. In life, we will not always be happy about every decision that is made. Another example from my life is on test I take. I always study my hardest and think I am always going to do my best. I usually get nervous before I take my test. I start to not think about what I learned and what I've studie...
