He entered in silently. It was not difficult to avoid waking anyone, it was 2:30 AM and that usually meant that everyone in the house was asleep. He tried to balance his weight on the carpet floor. Loud booms of thunder impacting the ground woke me up in the middle of the dark gloomy night. I looked outside to see the dim crescent moon, while the lightning, and rain take over the night sky. The scrawny man stood in front of the dining hall wiping sweat off his brow. He wore a gray herringbone tweet jacket, a white button-down oxford shirt, a zebra-striped tie, and mud-colored flannel trousers─a costume befitting the gatekeeper of a distinguished educational institution.
