He entered in silently. It was not difficult to avoid waking anyone, it was 2:30 AM and that usually meant that everyone in the house was asleep. He tried to balance his weight on the carpet floor. Damn. It creaked. He silently listened for evidence of anyone being awake, but he was unsuccessful. He started up the stairs. Once making it to the top, a long, disturbing creak emerged from his left foot. He cursed under his breath. He began to rethink eating that sundae earlier. This had never happened before. Intruder 1 neared the window. Intruder 2 crawled in on all fours. He looked at intruder 1. Intruder 2 reached into his pocket and pulled out a hand gun. Intruder 1 threw his arms into the air. They faced each other. Intruder 2 looked at Intruder 1. Intruder 1 wore a black mask, revealing his big green eyes, glistening in the moon light. He wore a tight black turtleneck tucked into black slacks. Intruder 2 had brown eyes, he wore a cloth facemask, and was dressed in a similar outfit to Intruder 1. Intruder 2 was a couple inches shorter than Intruder 1. Intruder 2 stared deeply at Intruder 1. He gestured, to Intruder 1, at the door. Intruder 1 shook his head. He was not leaving. Intruder 2 pointed at the girl lying in the bed and then pointed at himself. Intruder 1 shook his head and pointed at himself. They both turned to the girl whose body was facing the wall opposite to the two intruders. Intruder 2 lifted his gun. Intruder 1 realized who it was. “You paid me to do this,” Intruder 1 hissed. “You’re not doing your job, you little devil,” Intruder 2 replied. “I can’t, but what are you doing here?
