Both productions of Act III, scene ii are more sought on making Hamlet seeming mental. In David Tennant's version He is barefoot and sitting on the floor, recording the play in almost adolescent way. Campbell Scott also portrays Hamlet in an unstable way the difference is he seems to be faking his mental condition ,when Horatio and Hamlet interact alone He seems to be in control ar at least more in control then Tennant’s version as he seems to still be crazed during the soliloquy . The reactions of Queen Gertrude as well as King Claudius in both the David Tennants and Campbell Scott's productions have very contrasting reactions and attitudes towards the play reenacting King Hamlet's murder.
