Mistakes

Mistakes have been made from the beginning of time. Adam and Eve, the first living humans, made a mistake and were thrown from heaven to live apart from God. Ever since then, every human alive has made at least one mistake that either they or someone else regrets. Including myself as one. Some people spend their whole life reflecting on those mistakes and try to change the past. I personally have not made a mistake, that influential, to affect my life. But I have made some very dreadful decisions in my life. Several being about, something I may have said to an individual to disrespect them; or what I did in a basketball game that affected the whole team; or even a decision I made while hunting on the mountain that affected my parents.

Basketball for some people is their life. Mistakes made in the past fuel their drive for the future. Many professionals use this to motivate them. I’ve made mistakes on the court while playing that has, both, been for the better and or the worst. Playing defense effectively helps the team. But, like I have done, I’ve made decisions that have lost games. Playing sloppy or not playing at all. These mistakes haunt you. I've tried too hard too. Fouling and giving the other team a chance to win have driven me every year to get better. Most individuals will make mistakes in these situations, but only some learn from them.

Now decisions and mistakes made on the mountain or while hunting can be fatal. I’ve made mistakes by the dozens while hunting. But only a handful could have been life threatening. I've been skinning an elk and cut my hand to the point of stitches. I’ve seen people shot their own fingers off while trying to kill an elk. The list goes on and on about mistakes an individual can make while hunting. I’ve been lost in the dark for hours. I’ve heard of people stabbing themselves with the antlers of their kill and bleeding out, feet from their truck. Mistakes like these can cause someone to
