I think that it is very important for teachers to create literacy havens in their classroom. One way teachers can do this is by creating a classroom library that is full of different kinds of books. Another way teachers can support literacy in their classrooms is to put up English graphic organizers and to label different things in their classrooms. This will help their students learn how to spell and recognize different words. Thus, there are multiple ways that teachers can turn their classrooms into literacy havens.
I chose this quote because I believe that characters are the most important element of a story. A story can be great, but if it has unlikable characters then it is unreadable. In my field experience, I saw a lot of students writing very formulaic stories with flat characters. I think that teachers need to put more importance on their students writing more creatively and developing good characters. Thus, I believe that teachers should teach their students the importance of writing good, well-developed, non-formulaic characters.

I believe this is so because I had a friend that dropped out of high school because of the TAKS test. She had passing grades in all of her classes, but she had to go to summer school. I do not know exactly what happened during summer school, but all I knew was that she had dropped out of school during the summer. I think that it is horrible how one test can affect someone so much. That is why I believe that teachers should try to put as little pressure on their students as possible because students already have enough pressure put on them as it
