Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer, a Navigator, and a colonizer. He was also a citizen of the republic of Genoa, under the auspices of the Catholic Monarchs of Spain he completed four voyages across the Atlantic Ocean. He's also known as the man who discovered America. Columbus was born somewhere around 1451 and his hometown is Genoa that's in Italy. His father was Domenico Columbus and his mother was Susanna Fontanarossa, he was the son of wool merchants. Columbus also had three younger brothers, Bartholomew Columbus, Giovanni Pellegrino Columbus, and lastly Giacomo Columbus, he also had a sister named Bianchinetta Columbus. Christopher and his family moved to Savona around 1470, that's also when Columbus traveled the seas as a pirate and attacked ships belonging to the Moors.Somewhere around …show more content…

A couple months go by and the Priest Father Perez intercedes on the behalf of Columbus and pleads with the queen Isabella to fund Columbus emphasising that he would be able to convert heathen races to Christianity.In 1492 king Ferdinand and queen Isabella of Spain finally agreed to act as patrons for Christopher Columbus and to provide the money and the ships Columbus
