Christian Teachings about the Relationship between Humanity and the Rest of Creation
“God created the world in 7 days” is what Christians believe, where
as others believe that God does exist but took longer to create the
world, and others believe there is no God and the world was created
through evolution- which is the development of atoms through long
periods of time. But all of these people agree on one thing- the world
was created a long time ago and we as a world-wide community need to
respect and look after the world.
In Genesis chapter 1 verses 27-28 God sets people apart from the rest
of creation, gives them dominion, control over the world. Christians
believe domino has lead to people using the world’s resources for
themselves. The church rarely speaks out about destruction of the
world, for example power and wealth concerning and deliberately
abusing the environment.
God made us stewards of the world; this means we are managers or
keepers who are responsible for the proper use and development of the
world, in this respect, humans were to be the manager or keepers’ of
creation.
As stewards of creation, we humans have two important
responsibilities; to conserve and to use the resources given to us by
God. We as humans are managers, not owners, so the resources are not
for us to squander, limit pollution, recycling basic materials,
distribution of food stocks more fairly.

humans who are doing the most damage to the world we live on today and
if we carry on the way we are at the moment; destroying the rainforest
and the unknown species that live there, burning fossil fuels so other
parts of the world get the side effects and many more problems. These
people think God should help us look after it by sending a sign to the
humans telling them what ‘he’ thinks they should be doing to protect
the earth and the creatures that live there; we aren’t just destroying
the world but the creatures on it. So to
conclude many people believe in different ways the world should be
look after; from God, humans or any living thing but every one
believes the world should be looked after before it is too late and
there is no ‘world’ for us to live on!

Christian Beliefs in the Origins of the World “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. ” A Description of Christian Beliefs About the Origins of The World Christians believe that God created the universe. In Chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis, we are told that God creates both the universe and everything that is in it.

An environmentalist is a person worships the environment and cares for nature more than people. Christians and others share the common perception that environmental ethics exist for how human beings should relate to the land, the free market perceptive and the environmental perceptive. Humans share a relationship with all creations of the earth. But as humans, they find themselves as having a role in the created order which is they have a closer relationship with the creator who has charged them with acting responsible within his creation. Even allowing a common complaint of environmental activists is that Stewardship means that the earth was made exclusively because of human beings - that having dominion upper nature is the same as having the power and directly of domination. Christians consequently share a close relationship by means of the whole of aspects of creation, since in relation to the environment, its unbroken humanity, not unbroken nature, that's seen to be the problem. Stewardship in simple terms means to manage someone else’s property. Christians proclaims that everything belong to God, so as Christians, we need to have the attitude that our belongings are his belongings. As stewards, we have the responsibility of being in charge of the earth. We have been placed in charge and are responsible for whatever happens to it, even though it does not belong to us, as we all know it belong to God. In Genesis 2:15, God took man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to work and take care of it.

The relationship between God and his creations humans can be said to be a very complex relationship. Genesis shows us many examples of God's interaction with humans and human's interaction with each other. From the creation of Adam and Eve and all the events that follow afterwards, I shall show what the relationship tells us about the nature of God and mankind.

Thessalonians 4:1-3 says, “Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more, for you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. It is God's will that you should be sanctified.” During my time at Saint Joseph College I have been able to pick up a lot being in the core program. Even though I have learned a lot from all of my core classes, there has some been a hand full of core classes where I found myself having trouble finding how they relate to me in my everyday life. Core nine has easily been the easiest class for me to relate to. I like to believe that I am a religious person. I take pride in the fact that I talk to God every day, and have a very healthy relationship with him, and do everything I can to live my life the way he intended me to. Though I do not attend church every Sunday, I always find time to read my daily bread, and my daily praise. So being in this class, and being able to discover more of the truth about the meaning of life from a religious standpoint kept me focused all semester.
Thomas Aquinas was born in 1225 into a noble family, where he lived in southern Italy. His family decided that he would be a church leader so at the age of six they sent him to the Benedictine monastery of Monte Cassino, and at fourteen he was sent to the University of Naples for further studying. When he joined the scholarly dominican order at the age of 20, he wanted to pursue

He pushed that humanity must respect the limits of the earth and its resources, keeping in mind that our actions should be guided by a concern for future generations (Dobel 632). These two points were communicated to the reader logically and coherently by citing and analyzing the Bible, notably much differently than White and others. Dobel spoke about how there is a covenant between the earth and God spoken about in the book of Genesis (631). When raising the awareness of this covenant, accountability seems to be at the core of his argument, knowing that humanity is responsible for the subsequent damage or repair of the earth and its resources. Dobel also looks at the New Testament of the Bible, which is where the stewarshipo imperative can been found, concluding that humanity “must never knowingly exhaust of ruin what has been given to us” (632). By incorporating this, Dobel is able to provide a look at environmental ethics from both the New and Old Testament lens. Though this does not seem purposeful, it is actually one of the most successful authorial moves Dobel makes. By evaluating both books, Dobel shields himself from criticism from those who may disagree with his claim and further strengthens his critique in the first part of the article against
