One of the earliest human civilizations had begun in Ancient India. Civilization in south Asia (Ancient India) began along the Indus River. The land of Ancient India is dominated by three main types of physical features including mountains, rivers, and the massive triangular-shaped peninsula of India surrounded by water, which are all needed for success in society. This civilization was large and spread out all across all of southern Asia. Out of all of the Old Civilizations, Ancient India was the most successful. Greece, Rome and Egyptian governments are very poor, mismanaged and failing today. Civilizations in the Americas like Central America’s government is very weak. Even though Indian and Chinese societies share many key characteristics for success today, I still believe the Ancient Indian culture and lifestyle allows more success than the Dictatorship lifestyle of China. China's complex government and harsh law also known as, legalism, provides for a tough lifestyle in everyday life. For example, in “Chinese Companies, it may be frowned upon to celebrate religious holidays in the office. But that’s not true in India.” (Barton 1) According to The BBC, “Forbidding this would be very weird in the Indian culture, Mani said.” (Barton 1) In India, men can do what they want to do. India is still successful today because people within the Indian government, the civilizations are not frowned upon when they celebrate their own religious holidays. The BBC claimed, “Indian working culture is embedded in a very old civilization built on personal relationships.” (Barton 1) India is still successful today because they still follow the same work ethic and traditions from Ancient India however they have modified to make the civilizations work better. Ancient India has influenced a lot of what is know as India today. The Ancient Indians built off of others relationships and built off of one another to make their community better.???“India has a population of 1.1billion and a high percentage of people of working age.
